Liberia Set To Open New Airport Terminal

A new passenger terminal and runway is set to be open at Roberts International Airport in Liberia on July 25.

The Liberia Aviation Authority (LAA) provided the latest update on the project that has been two years in the making. The dedication ceremony is expected to feature President George Weah, who will cut the ribbon for the new facilities, which also include an office complex.

According to the LAA PR Manager Mr. Ebenezer Mass Wilson the features of the new terminal include two jet bridges, two escalators, two elevators, ten check-in counters, eight duty free stores, a restaurant and two luggage carousels.

Once up and running the new terminal is expected to accommodate between 300,000 and 500,000 passengers annually.
