Beyoncé Announces African Stars Featured On Album

Beyoncé has shared details of the artists to feature on her latest album, which is being released alongside Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King.

Among the African stars to feature on the 14 track album ‘”The Lion King: The Gift” are Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Mr. Eazi, Tekno, Temi Alade, Wizkid and Burna Boy, as well as Cameroon’s Salatiel, Ghana’s Shatta Wale and South Africa’s Busiswa and Moonchild Sanelly.

Other artists include Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams and Childish Gambino.

Speaking on the project Beyoncé is quoted as stating,  "[it] was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers"

She has also described the move soundtrack as a “love letter to Africa.”
