Call for release of Cameroon tech entrepreneur
The hashtag #FreeRebecca has been trending on Twitter as people campaign for the release of Cameroonian tech entrepreneur Rebecca Enonchong.
She is being held in the country's economic capital, Douala.
A business partner told the BBC that Ms Enonchong had been detained for contempt of court.
She is currently involved in legal cases with her family over some property and she was arrested during a hearing on Tuesday at the request of the prosecutor.
Last year, Ms Enonchong was listed by Forbes as one of 50 most powerful women in Africa.
She has been critical of the government's handling of the crisis in Cameroon's English-speaking regions.
Some of those behind the hashtag believe her arrest is politically motivated.
France's ambassador to Cameroon is one of those who has joined the Twitter campaign.
