Nigerian student's '28 painful days' in captivity
A Nigerian student abducted from a school in northern Kaduna state says his 28 days in captivity "were the most painful of my life".
The second-year student, whose name or photo we can't use, was among 39 others seized by gunmen from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Kaduna state on 11 March.
He and four others were released on Monday by their abductors with a message for the state government.
"They asked us to tell the government to pay ransom so they can release the other students," he said.
There have been concerns about the safety of the 39 students as the state government is opposed to negotiating with kidnappers.
Governor Nasir El-rufai instead wants kidnappers arrested.
