Uganda Shaken by Two 'Domestic Terror' Blasts
One person died and seven were injured in a blast at a restaurant on October 23, 2021 in the capital Kampala.
Police spokesman Fred Enanga said that the attackers arrived at the restaurant and were allegedly carrying a plastic shopping bag that they placed under a table before leaving.
Enanga said the device was made of nails and shrapnel.
In another incident, an explosion on a bus in the Mpigi District in central Uganda has left one person dead and several others injured. President Yoweri Museveni said in social media posts that the incident appears to be an act of terrorism and has pledged to bring the perpetrators to book.
