CHAN 2022 : Ghana bounce back to beat Sudan in second game

Ghana Black Galaxies won their first CHAN 2022 game as they came from behind to defeat Sudan last night (2-1) at Constantine for their second clash in the tournament.

Nooh Al Gozoli put the Jediane Falcons ahead in the 31st minute with Sudan aiming to keep this advantage going into the dressing room.

However, Konadu Yiadom brought Black Galaxies level in the additionnal time of the first half (45+6), scoring Ghana’s first CHAN goal since 2014.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh doubled the lead for Annor Walker’s men in the 64th minute from the penalty spot.

He could have bagged a brace but his second goal was ruled out after VAR check.

Seidu Suraj cemented Ghana’s victory with a third goal in the additional time (90+8) just a minute after Barnieh was sent off.

The Black Galaxies are now second on Group C standings with an assurance to make it through to the next round.
