Ghana Soccer Star Atsu Still Missing After Turkey Earthquake

Despite reports that Christian Atsu had been rescued from the rubble, the Turkish club Hatayspor soccer star remains missing after the devastating earthquakes in Turkey.

Claire Rupio, Atsu's partner, has called for equipment to be sent to the collapsed building where he was living. Rupio, who lives in Newcastle, UK, told BBC News that conflicting reports about his whereabouts have been "confusing" and "quite shocking", revealing their children heard on the radio that he will still missing.

The 31-year-old has previously played for Chelsea, Newcastle United, and several other teams in the English Premier League.

At least 25,000 people have died in southern Turkey and northern Syria since the earthquake and aftershocks that followed.
