Gunmen Murder Burkinabe Church Worshippers
On Sunday several gunmen stormed a church where worshippers were praying and shot 14 people dead, before escaping on motorbikes.
The attack took place in the town of Hantoukoura, close to Burkina Faso’s western border with Niger.
It is not yet known who is responsible for the shooting, but officials are thought to suspect Islamic extremists.
This year Burkina Faso has seen an increase in religious violence since jihadists spilled over the border from neighbouring Mali.
Police and soldiers are working together to track down the assailants.
