Nigeria Power Grid Collapses

The Nigerian national electricity grid crashed on Wednesday this week, drastically reducing power available. This came following the national grid rising to 5,114, the most it has reached in over two months. Earlier this year there were two major collapses in April, with one reducing the grid to 1980MW.

The spokesperson for the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) noted;

"In the circumstance, we are unable to service our customers. We apologise for the inconvenience this may be causing our customers,"

The collapse is said to affected people across Kogi, Abuja, Nasarawa, Niger, Kaduna, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
