Tiwa Savage, Simi and Wizkid Nominated For AFRIMAs

Last week the All Africa Music Awards unveiled the nominees for 2019’s AFRIMAs. Among those nominated were; Tiwa Savage, Davido, Burna Boym Simi, Wizkid, Teni and Niniola alongwith other international artists.

Aderele Niyi, AFIRMAs Associate Producer, announced the list at the Eko Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. During the press conference she highlighted that the nominees were from Western, Eastern, Central Southern and Northern Africa and exhibit qualities such as; integrity, originality, excellence and creativity.

The awards seek to reward and celebrate musical talent and creativity across the continent, whilst promoting African cultural heritage to the world. "This is going to be the 6th edition of AFRIMA and I can say that it has been getting better each year; this year's edition promises to be a unique one," she said.
