Cameroonian Presidential Bodyguards Arrested in Switzerland

Six bodyguards of President of Cameroon Paul Biya have been arrested in Switzerland after they allegedly attacked a journalist. 

The incident took place at a demonstration by critics of the President outside the hotel where he was staying, with six members of Biya’s security team allegedly assaulting a journalist covering the event.

The journalist, from Radio Television Suisse, is reported to have been injured and his equipment damaged.

The bodyguards have since been released but were found guilty of coercion, damage to property and illegal appropriation.
